The coincidence last Saturday was both ironic and nauseating. At the very moment when authorities were unearthing what could be the most sinister case of domestic terrorist activity since 9/11, with alleged links to the group that took down the World Trade Center, a local public television station blithely devoted much of its schedule to propaganda claiming al-Qaeda did no such thing.
Carroll: Public TV and the Truthers
Vincent Carroll, The Denver Post, Saturday, 26 September 2009
Oh, propaganda... I see, Mr Caroll. And of course all the many statements the government has made on the subject through its many mouthpieces have been all unadulterated truth, the whole truth and nothing but... Even when those statements happened to contradict each other. Even when they were later declared to be false, by none other than the very people whose job it was to come up with the governments official interpretation of the events... Yes, Mr Caroll, I mean the members of the 9/11 Commission.
At any rate, maybe I will write to Mr Caroll and see if he cares to expand on this. For now enjoy the article, the comments (where the author's profound lack of knowledge is exposed, as usual) as well as the discussion on The 9/11 Blogger.
