Everyone's heard about the human rights abuses in African gold and diamond mines. But when it comes to their ultra-cool, razor-thin cell phones, American consumers won't get the message.

Was the success of the attacks (from a terrorist's tactical perspective) due to complacency by high officials and intelligence bungling or cleverness on the part of al-Qaida? Was the al-Qaida threat as obvious as it seemed to a few high officials at the time while fools and charlatans ignored it? Or was it only one concern among many that understandably didn't rise to the highest priority until 9/11 happened? Were there really enough dots to be connected that the attacks could have been thwarted, or is such talk 20/20 hindsight? In a more sinister vein, did the government consciously let the plot go forward – or do it itself – to unite the populace behind war plans, as a surprising number of Americans are coming to believe?

We must continue to ‘press for truth’ in connection with the events of September 11, 2001 – for we still don’t know the true ‘path to 9/11,’ and until we do, we can never find the path from 9/11.

The video is about an hour long, the statements by the 9/11 victim's relatives are very powerful. Donna Marsh O'Connor, Christina Kminek and Michelle Little explain why a new investigation is needed. If someone can make a .torrent for this, please do. Oh, yeah, Paul Thompson does a great job on the fly here as well.

David Ray Griffin appeared on BBC's Heaven & Earth Sunday. Here's the link. A British 9/11 truther tells me there were approximately 1 million viewers. It is an excellent interview, and David Shayler was great too.

At hearings last week in New York, Whitman was the most frequent target of lawmakers who charged that ground zero workers were not protected as they worked to clear the pile of toxic debris. Whitman, a former Republican governor of New Jersey, declared in the days after Sept. 11 that the air in lower Manhattan was safe for workers and residents. But she has said she and the EPA always differentiated between the air quality in lower Manhattan and at ground zero.

It is truly remarkable how liberal types conveniently forget that William Jefferson Clinton has the blood of well over 1 million Iraqis on his hands, a majority of them children under the age of 5. They were killed slowly and painfully through the most devastating economic sanctions in the history of humankind.

With full-time workers earning less, adjusted for inflation, than at any time since 1973, health care costs going up three times as fast as wages, with insurance companies writing our national policies on health care while health care prices are growing exponentially, it would be wise to pay attention to this growing crisis within our own nation rather than continuing to re-establish a feudal society in the Land of the Free. The people in Washington, DC, who make the decisions for us all, are totally oblivious of the hardships which are borne by the working poor, instead having developed the attitude of Marie Antoinette that, having no bread, the poor should just "eat cake". In the long run, the results may be the same.

In his speech on Tuesday, Bush was up to his old game of hyperbole, casting today’s enemies in the same outfits as Lenin and Hitler. The costumes may be scary, but they are way too large.

When is America's true defenders of the constitution going to call not just for articles of Impeachment but make arrests for the obvious acts of treason? I'm not talking about 9-11-01. I'm talking about everything that has been done in the name of those who died.

The fact that government officials lie is hardly shocking or newsworthy. What is surprising, however, is the complicity of the media in propagating those deceptions without argument. As Robert Fisk noted some time ago, the news should actually be called, "High-ranking government official said;" since the news exclusively reflects the war-mongering, business-friendly perspective of government.

"And anyone who claims that I and others like me are 'soft,' or have 'forgotten"' the lessons of what happened here is at best a grasping, opportunistic, dilettante and at worst, an idiot whether he is a commentator, or a Vice President, or a President."

A personal request to readers. Many have written to ask what can be done to protect Matt and me from becoming unwilling guests of the State. First, this ain't no foolin' around: Matt and I are facing these nutty charges. So spread the info. We believe that getting the word out is the best defense. Second, call Homeland Security and turn us in. They seem to have trouble finding us. If you get a reward, you may choose to donate it to the Palast Investigative Fund, a 501(c)(3) educational foundation which supports our work and pays our legal fees.
