For Your Reading Pleasure

Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. is always a delight, in my humble opinion. Few authors have such an incredible ability to infuse their sense of humor into describing or debating various things grave and morbid. His recent article on our times and the essence of being is, in my opinion, a must read.

Thanks, this is a good and very provocative reading indeed. Although, nothing constructive at all. Yes, human history is stupid and bloody, so what? Should we all kill ourselves following a good advice from an old man?

It does not appear anywhere in Kurt Vonnegut's article or anywhere else throughout his writings that he suggests we kill ourselves. He certainly considers that as a possibility (see "Cat's Craddle") but a possibility it certainly is,- albeit likely not in the fashion described in that novel of his.

I think we need to first figure out what the hell is actually going on before we can even begin to talk about how constructively to change it for the better.

Boris.
